Megadrum heaters are metal-sheathed, mica-insulated heaters made for tough industrial applications. They are used to pre-heat liquids in drums or pails to make them less viscous and more flowable. Megadrum heaters are suitable heat sources when heat is required to handle liquids during pouring, dipping, coating or mixing operations. They are made to brace a drum externally and are easily installed and removed when needed.

Electric Drum Heater
Bucan Electric Megadrums have a rugged construction and are available in two styles. The GCX model comes with spring loaded handles, a snap-action bi-metal adjustable thermostat (140°- 200°F) and a red pilot light that will indicate when the heater is energized. The HBX model has a latch and trunion fastener, an insulating jacket, a bulb and capillary adjustable thermostat (50°- 250°F or 77°- 400°F) and a control box with two pilot lights. The amber light indicates that the heater is plugged to an electrical source, while the red light indicates that the heater is energized.
